So many wonderful memories of a beautiful country with an amazing history. So special

After this trip, I will never read God’s word the same as before. Now I have a much clearer understanding, as well as a visual picture in my mind about “The Greatest Story Ever Told” and the bottom line is, it’s not just a story. It is rock solid history, and a love story written by God for His children.

Dear Byron, My brother it has been too long sense I have seen you, Tammy and Isaac.  I have such fond memories of our 2011 trip to Israel. I have just returned from the second trip (June 2012).  I can tell you that there is no such thing as a bad trip with Father’s House.  My first trip was marvelous. 

The team of you and Moshe did an excellent job and I loved every minute. I was disappointed when I learned that Moshe would not be with us on the second trip.  The second trip was as marvelous as the first.  We revisited some of the same places and I departed from each with an expanded appreciation, blessing, and understanding of each.  That is the way the body of Christ is supposed to work, isn’t it.  John Turner and Ron did a masterpiece rendition at repeats and new sites. I so much thank the Lord and Father’s House for making this possible.  My life and ministry were changed after my first trip, but the second trip completed the transformation. After 58 years of preaching/teaching the Word, I can tell you that theses two trips have enriched my teaching and reading the Word.

We’ve read about these places and studied them all of our life and have even taught others about it, and to actually be there and being in the places where the Bible took place was an incredible experience. When you’re at the Sea of Galilee, you’re right there on the shore and Jesus was right there on the shore. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. There was a lot of old, old ancient ruins where the Bible took place and you’re actually walking right in that area. To be a pastor and to go there and see it, I think the difference it made for me was you read about those places, but you don’t know what they look like, where they’re at, what topography it has and after being there, when I read the city name, like Nazareth, I can picture it on the hill where it sits. It just brings it out, how far places were from one another when you read about Jesus going from this place to that place or David going from this place to that place, you can picture how far they had to walk. It’s instant whenever I read the name of the city I’ve been to, I picture it and it just brings it right out so it’s easier to describe to people what it looked like, how far it was, how long it took them to travel, it just makes a difference. I think that’s the thing I drew away from most, the picturing it and knowing.

I, too, have been giving glowing compliments for the wonderful trip sponsored by Father’s House.  In fact, my Bible Study Fellowship class has asked me to give a short program soon.  How do I choose just three or four exciting sights to talk about? I believe the well organized planning by Father’s House resulted in all aspects to be well executed.  Even the small details such as mementos, i.e., the certificate from the Antiquities Salvage Operation and the Scriptural Birth Certificate yet to come are thoughtful special gifts. I guess the only negative thing would be that Ancient Pathway’s itinerary was too ambitious.  It could be more realistic and therefore disappointments are kept to a minimum. We didn’t get to tour Herodian or enjoy the Dead Sea but we did get to the top of Masada!  Which was one of my highlights. The trip was really totally and completely life changing for me personally and for me as a Pastor because it allowed me to see the Bible kind of in a three dimensional aspect as opposed to just reading about and studying about it. Actually going to the places, seeing the things we saw, meeting the people and being exposed to the atmosphere of the culture and all of those things, it was just a period of time that really has forever and completely changed my life.

My 10 days in Israel. it was awesome! Our tour guide was a general in the Israeli army during the six day war in 1967. He was intense, but he got us into some pretty amazing places.

The trip to Israel was awesome! It was not something that I had ever dreamed or even thought about doing, but so thankful that my husband made it possible for me to go. The understanding that you gain from actually visiting each site can only be obtained by being there! You can read and study and hear the scriptures all your life, but once you have seen it and been there you will never be the same!

An incredible teacher, amazing heartfelt fellowship, probably the most spirit filled journey I will ever experience, feeling such a connection to the Lord. Words are inadequate to describe the feelings and emotions this journey brought about. Wish every Christian could experience this. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thank you so much for inviting me to go on the trip to the Holy Land with The Father’s house. Words cannot express the impact this has made in my life. Truly a dream come true for me. I am and will be forever thankful to you and the Father’s House for making my first trip “Home” so special. I’m praying it will not be my last.
